Welcome!
BASICS ABA Therapy is designed around the core belief that ABA is an overall philosophy and outlook on behavior. We believe that people engage in behaviors in order to have a need met. It is our job to determine what that need is and either continue to reinforce the behavior or teach the client an effective way to have that need met.
We are committed to programming that is culturally competent and anti-racist. We can always do better and will continue to do so.
VISION STATEMENT
At BASICS ABA Therapy, we are committed to providing behavior analytic services in a manner that is trauma-formed and kind by providing trainings and direct therapy while ensuring we are always innovative, ethical, and excellent.

“
Thank you so much for sharing your experience and expertise related to trauma-informed behaviour intervention with educators, behaviour analysts, and partner professionals across Atlantic Canada. Saundra provides a learner-focused, respectful, and dignified approach to behaviour intervention, that considers the impact of an individual’s complete learning history and range of experiences on current behaviour. Her presentations highlighted the role that empathy and understanding play in a true and meaningful analysis of behaviour, and demonstrated that behavioral professionals can, and should, be kind and compassionate in their work while also adhering to basic principles of the science and practice of ABA.”
